BAC Atlantic Chapter raises funds for scholarships at annual golf tournament

Moncton – Members of the Baking Association of Canada golfed up a storm on Sept. 19 while raising funds for baking and pastry student scholarships, networking and enjoying beautiful weather.

Fifty-one golfers enjoyed a friendly game of golf, reception and prizes for all. The annual industry event was hosted by Lakeside Golf and Country Club in Lakeville, N.B.

Team Ardent Mills won the tournament.

That evening, the BAC’s executive director Martin Barnett delivered a presentation on the association’s purpose, activities and benefits, acknowledging the support of participating bakeries and bakery suppliers.

New Brunswick Community College culinary program leads were presented with a $1,000 scholarship commitment thanks to BAC Atlantic Chapter.

The golf tournament took place following a successful Town Hall Bakers Gathering that morning at NBCC.
